Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) are a standardized framework used to assess the maturity of a technology from concept to deployment. Ranging from TRL 1, where basic principles are observed, to TRL 9, where the system is proven in an operational environment, the scale helps researchers, developers, and funders gauge development progress, manage risks, and make informed decisions about further investment and implementation.
